How Healthy Is Your Church?
Have you ever wondered about your church’s health? Have you tried to figure out why your church isn’t going to the next level of effectiveness and growth? How often has your leadership sat down and asked those questions, and found many conflicting answers? Everyone seems to have an opinion, but which one is correct? Wouldn’t you like to have an objective read on the situation? That’s where a church health survey comes in.
When your church does a church health survey, it is not an outside consultant telling you something that needs to change. Rather, it is a tool that measures what the people of your church honestly think about themselves. We have found through experience that real, qualitative change is possible when a local church begins seeing both their strengths and opportunities for qualitative growth. That is what the LDR Church Health Survey is all about…focusing on church health!
It is recommended that you continue to use the same church health survey for three to five years to provide consistent data. The survey is only to be used in one local purchasing church.
LDR Church Health Survey
The LDR Church Health Survey is built around ten key characteristics of a healthy church. Five of the characteristics are related to five purposes of the church. The remaining five characteristics relate to church life.
There are ten questions for each characteristic for a total of 100 questions. We suggest that you copy and ask approximately 30 core members to take the survey. Then manually score the responses to identify the current health score.
